Rob Hopkins
Transition Network - Outreach Mgr

How can communities build ‘resilience’ to the converging challenges facing them, while at the same time reducing carbon emissions and strengthening the local economy? Transition Network founder Rob Hopkins, in a rare visit to the US, will introduce Transition, a process that offers pathways, new ways of thinking and a set of tools to develop the resilience of our places to face the shocks of the present and the uncertainties of the future.

Rob Hopkins' recently published book The Power of Just Doing Stuff: how local action can change the world is illustrated with stories from around the world that really capture how international Transition has become, the impact it is starting to have, and how, in the current economic malaise, it represents a bold new idea for our economic future.
