Can sustainable farming feed America? This question and more will be the focus of Discussing American Meat, presented by Chipotle. American Meat is a pro-farmer documentary that takes a critical look at cattle, hog, and chicken production in the U.S. and examines the viability of moving the industry over to more sustainable, humane practices. To address questions and topics covered in the documentary, a lively panel discussion will feature Jim Richardson, owner of Richardson Farms; Judith McGeary, attorney, activist, and sustainable farmer; and Graham Meriwether, director of American Meat. The panel will be moderated by Bartholomew Sparrow, professor of government at UT.
Chipotle’s support of American Meat and this dialog is a natural fit given the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable and humane farming practices as part of its Food with Integrity mission, changing the food supply chain for the better.
