Calder Kamin: Plastic Planet at Women & Their Work Field Trip

Wednesday, October 12
12:30PM - 2:00PM
Women & Their Work
1710 Lavaca St.

Join us for this lunch time excursion to Austin artist, Calder Kamin's most ambitious solo exhibition yet. Through the themes of co-evolution of animals, humans and man-made environments, Kamin's intricate sculptures, made entirely from plastic bags and recycled materials, spark curiosity and concerns for plastic in the environment. Kamin's reimagined taxidermy sculptures come to life along side an interactive classroom environment where audiences can engage with the artist's illustrations and research on synthetic substances and nature's resilience. The artist will guide visitors for a quick tour of the show. Light refreshments will be provided.

Please meet at the Gallery (1710 Lavaca St). Transportation is not provided.
