Two billion overweight and 800 million undernourished people prove the world food system is broken. But how to fix it? Buying at farmers’ markets is important, but a better world can’t come by shopping alone. Luckily, there are groups around the world from Malawi to Peru, Oakland to New Delhi, who have made revolutionary, systemic change. These visionaries have been followed by Raj Patel (Stuffed & Starved), Steve James (Hoop Dreams) and a team of filmmakers for Generation Food, a transmedia project working with grassroots groups, globally, to inspire many more people to begin their own experiments in social change.
