Summary

In June Congress passed the first major environmental bill in two decades. The new law, the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical safety for the 21st Century Act, amends TSCA and significantly overhauls existing chemical regulation, allowing more transparency for consumers and more regulatory accountability for chemicals currently used and sold in the U.S. Businesses of every size in many industries will be affected by the changes implementation of the new law brings. This panel will talk about the impact the law will have on consumers and companies, possible opportunities, challenges, and next steps for the law to become operative and influential policies that directly influence consumer, manufacturers, and other stakeholders.
