Summary

In an era where the role of public space is taking on more significance in building dynamic cities, how can we construct innovative ways to connect people with their surroundings and to each other? Can we create cooperative experiences where people dare to do something new and celebrate a collective pride of their cities?

Zooming in on the urban narrative of cooperation, this workshop will explore insights from an impact study that is following the world-renowned interactive art installation ‘Musical Swings: An exercise in cooperation’ on tour. Participants will be brought off-site to imagine their own location-specific placemaking projects based on context, people and stories and to create a unique set of evaluation criteria for measuring impact.
