Quick Bio

Beth Silverman serves as the Senior Director of Advisory Services for the Urban Land Institute, a nonprofit education and research organization whose mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. Beth is an urban planner and economic development professional with over twelve years of experience working in the public, private and non-profit sectors of urban planning, policy, real estate and economic development. Prior to joining ULI, she was an Assistant Vice President with the NYC Economic Development Corporation where she balanced program management with an eclectic portfolio of economic development, real estate, cultural heritage, and policy projects. Beth holds a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in urban landscape studies from the University of Maryland’s Individual Studies Program.
