Quick Bio

Hadley Arnold co-directs the Arid Lands Institute, a research, outreach, and education center devoted to the design of climate adaptation in drylands. Hadley’s work focuses on bringing the challenge of low-carbon water supply to the forefront of architectural education, practice, and policy; she has built collaborations between leading architecture and engineering firms, public agencies, a network of university science and policy collaborators, and design programs throughout the US and abroad. Hadley's teaching interests lie in hydrologic urbanism, ancient and contemporary. Hadley has taught at SCI-Arc, UCLA, and Woodbury, and served widely as a visiting critic.
