Quick Bio

Jared Edgar McKnight, Assoc. AIA holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors, a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, and Minors in Architectural History and French & Francophone Studies from the Pennsylvania State University, and the Schreyer Honors College. He also holds a Master of Architecture II degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently an Associate and a Designer at WRT, and brings a strong passion for interdisciplinary collaboration to his work. His work spans multiple disciplines within the firm, on projects such as the Hoover-Mason Trestle in Bethlehem, PA. Jared serves on the AIA Philadelphia Board of Directors, is the Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Emerging Architects committee, and he is the Chair of CANstruction Philadelphia, a non-profit that raises money and canned goods for Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization. Additionally, he serves on the Friends of Louis I. Kahn Park Board of Directors in his neighborhood. In recognition of his professional work, civic leadership, and community service, Jared was the recipient of the 2014 AIA Philadelphia Volunteer of the Year Award, the 2015 AIA Pennsylvania Associate Award, and the 2016 AIA National Associates Award. He is extremely excited to attend SXSW Eco with his colleague, and friend, Keiko Tsuruta Cramer to present WRT's Hoover-Mason Trestle project, a Revitalization Finalist for the Place by Design Awards!
