For over a decade, Apoorv has been passionate about clean energy and the urgent need for innovation in the sector. He is currently an MBA candidate at the Stanford GSB, where he is focused on how to build and run transformative businesses, and exploring his interest in entrepreneurship and investing in clean energy.
Recently he has worked at the Capricorn Investment Group, focused on clean energy VC investing, and at NRG Energy, helping develop their energy storage strategy.
Prior to Stanford, he worked at Opower, where his work on utility business model innovation was published in the DOE’s Quadrennial Energy Review. Previously he was at BCG, advising energy clients on their strategies. He was the winner of the Shell Global Energy Debates in 2011, and is a Clean Energy Leadership Institute Fellow. Apoorv is a dual degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Rice University.
