Quick Bio

Erik Takayesu is the Director of Electric System Planning and Modernization for Southern California Edison. He is responsible for the organization that plans the Distribution and Transmission System. In the past year, Electric System Planning and Modernization has worked with other organizations throughout SCE to the Distribution Resources Plan, and to develop the roadmap for Grid Modernization.

Prior to his current role, Erik has held various roles at SCE, including managing Grid Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Asset Management. Erik is on the Board of Directors for the Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the California State University at Long Beach, is a licensed PE, and holds his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.
